At CortenHuys you can enjoy serene peace and quiet in a wooded area, but also head into the bustle of the city if you like. Located in the green countryside of Twente and on the edge of Enschede, the border with Germany — marked by the old boundary stones — lies right at the end of the street.

CortenHuys sits among many beautiful nature reserves that we ourselves visit regularly.

In and around Enschede there's a wide choice of restaurants, for both an extensive dinner and a quick bite. Here we've highlighted a few restaurants we're personally very enthusiastic about. If you'd rather eat in the quiet of CortenHuys, there are also more than 100 restaurants that deliver.

There's also plenty to do for children in and around Enschede. For the very youngest as well as older kids there are all kinds of activities and outings nearby. We've listed a few examples for inspiration, but of course there's much more to do!
